![]() ![]() I can't speak for Squier or Fender, but I bought my guitar from visiting a few music shops, I tried guitars from $500-$2500 and kept coming back to the one I bought. As a comparison, I burned through a Squier 30 years ago when I first picking up guitar, couldn't wait to get rid of that in the first few months, I'm already settling into this one as something I really want to keep and play. I bought a Fender Mustang Micro, fret oil and some youtube inspired items adding up to less than $100 and this thing is an absoute joy, and my only other guitar is accoustic and worth probably 6x as much. Second point is I have a Squier Classic Vibe bought very recently, and it is not a cheap instrument, the worst thing by far is the guitarist. On top of that, check against other internet prices, for example Squier contemporary can be found cheaper elsewhere right now than the 40% discount price. ![]() ![]() Colour makes no difference to playability or sound, but you won't want to keep the guitar if it doesn't tickle your visual senses. Firstly, was the discount, it is limited by models included as mentioned above, and very much colour, with some models all but 1 colour is still full price, and 1 odd colour is discounted 15/20/30/40%. I have a few points, trying to re-ignite my guitar skills after first learning 30 years ago. ![]()
